Coppicing and making charcoal were once used extensively all over the country to manage woodlands. These skills are now undergoing a revival as interest in sustainable woodland practices increases. Learn how to fell trees by hand, cleave wood using axes, wedges and froes, and how to make charcoal using a ring kiln. You'll also be given plenty of information on managing woodlands in general.
