Pole lathes are a traditional way of turning wood to make products such as tool handles, chair legs, candlesticks and bowls. When the wood is green it can be turnded relatively easily using a pole lathe and handtools. Learn the basics of this satisfying art and make something useful to take home.

Cost: £35 for members, £45 for non-members.
Membership: £20 per year, and covers all family members living at the same address. Membership runs from beginning of April
for one year. If you sign up after the 1st of January you will get 3 months for free. You can sign up for membership and pay for your course
at the same time.
