Dry stone walls are made entirely of stone with no mortar. As a result of Devon's incredibly varied geology, there are different walling styles found across the county. You'll be introduced to the basic principles of dry stone walling. You'll be working to repair a wall using basic hand tools such as lump hammers and bars. Shovels and mattocks are useful where footing need to be replaced.
